Ms. M’s Boudoir Photography Experience

A recount of one client’s boudoir photography experience.

She started squealing with excitement and clapping her hands when I showed her the back of the camera. Her sheer delight couldn’t have been more apparent on a kid at Disney World. A smile bigger than Texas spread across my face and heart. Just so we are clear, not every woman responds to seeing the back of the camera during their boudoir photography experience liks Ms. M, but usually some variation. A smile, a sigh, a gasp, a wow, followed up with “It doesn’t even look like me!.” More than once I’ve been accused of having a lying camera. And sometimes, there are tears. I take it all as a compliment.

And then, at her reveal, she kinda gasped as she said, “Is that really me?”. It sure is, sister!

You see, Ms. M had been following my work for awhile. She knows my best friend and so had seen some of the beautiful work we had created together. Following along each week as I drop Tushy Tuesday posts, Ms. M finally took the leap. Read what Ms. M had to say about her experience below.

This experience was one of the most monumental in my life. I have always struggled wondering if I was beautiful. Then when you realize you’re the most beautiful you’ve ever been and ever will be it does something to you. Yes I owe it to myself for being brave and jumping in there and just doing the shoot. But the magician behind the camera I have to give my thanks to. Christine has a gift beyond compare. We had an amazing time doing these amazing shots. I almost didn’t think it was me when I saw them. So my advice to other women who are on the fence ….just do the damn thang!!! Don’t wait until you lose weight or change your hair color. Capture it now and own it!!!!
