5 Things I Want You To Know About Your Boudoir Experience

There’s really more than 5 things…but these are the top 5 things.

1-Even though you say it’s for your significant other, it’s really for you.

Almost every client that has booked, with the exception of a few, have said that it was a gift for their significant other. What most don’t realize is that even though your significant other is getting the final product, you will gain so much more than that. A day of pampering and photographs will lead to a boost in confidence, pep in your step and self love beyond what you can imagine. The transformation that occurs when you take the leap of faith to have me photograph you is something you will carry with you a long while.  You deserve it!

2-Your photos do not have to be shared online.

Your privacy is my #1 concern and sharing is a personal choice for each woman. I have this conversation with each of my clients during their reveal to ensure that we are on the same page. I love to be able to share in the ladies only group and Instagram. Women sharing their experience is what encourages others to book their own shoot and go through their own transformation. And lets face it. All those likes and comments really add to the whole confidence boost. I understand some have jobs that absolutely won’t allow for this sort of thing and some people are just really private, and that’s ok.

3-I  will not shave off 50 pounds in photoshop.

The idea is to love yourself as you are right now. So, having me shave off 50 pounds in photoshop will defeat the purpose. With that being said, I do basic touch ups including blemish removal, skin smoothing and color correction. Got lipstick on your teeth? I got you. Everything else I address with posing, lighting and wardrobe so that you can see an accurate representation of yourself. I promise you will love the results. Even if you think you need to lose 50 pounds, I’ve been trained on how to get the best angles that are flattering for every body type.

4-I am not judging you or your body.

Believe it or not, more times than not, I’m not even looking at your body. At least, not that closely. I’m focusing on how the light falls, facial expressions, posing, camera settings and about a dozen other things. Yes, I see you, but I’m definitely not picking you apart.

5-I don’t expect you to know how to pose.

So you’re not a model. I don’t expect you to come to your session knowing how to master sexy poses, looks and faces. I got you! Fortunately, I know how to pose every body so that your photos will be flattering. I will say, sometimes a pose feels very unflattering, but you will love the results. Also, I know just what to say to get the expressions we want. Even if you’ve tried on your own to make a sexy face and you couldn’t figure it out. No problem. I was born for this shit.
