If you book a family portrait session with me, I might just call you honey if I can’t remember your name. Ha! That was the case during this particular family session. I just couldn’t remember Elier’s name. He was such a good sport, just smiling each time I called him honey. He was such a good sport, he even helped me try to keep my speed light off the ground, racing over when my light stand was about to tip over from that cool Texas breeze. Coming from Fargo, ND (think non-stop insane crazy wind) I admittedly underestimated the Texas wind. I should have brought a sandbag to keep my light upright. After a couple times of my light crashing to the ground and Elier catching it before it fell, he pulled a box of nails from their vehicle. It worked perfectly to keep my light stand in place.
Yecenia contacted me to do family portraits for her because she saw some previous sunset images I had taken. Not only did we get some gorgeous sunset images, but some beautiful shots right before during the golden hour as well. I can honestly say Yecenia is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She totally nailed it on styling and colors. She made my soul sing during her reveal, where she viewed her images for the first time. Her excitement was palpable. There were shrieks and laughs and lots of joy. Yecenia, you rock girl! Your joy totally made my month.
